Beginning with the 2026 Annual Examinations for SSC-I and HSSC-I, the FBISE has replaced the traditional 7-point scale (A-1, A, B, etc.) with a more nuanced 10-tier grading system. This change aims to provide a fairer evaluation of student performance, categorized as follows:

  • A++ (96–100%): Extraordinary

  • A+ (91–95%): Exceptional

  • A (86–90%): Outstanding

  • B++ (81–85%): Excellent

  • U (Below 40%): Ungraded/Fail

Yes. To ensure academic integrity, the FBISE has moved toward a Practical Based Assessment (PBA) model. The traditional practice of awarding marks for "Practical Notebooks" and "Viva Voce" has been abolished. Students will now sit for a structured practical exam on separate days, focusing on conceptual application and hands-on skills performed in the examination hall.

In accordance with the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) policy, the minimum passing threshold for all subjects has been increased from 33% to 40%. Students must secure at least 40% marks in both theory and practical components to be declared successful in a subject.

Students transitioning to another board or university can apply through the [FBISE E-Services Portal]. After submitting the online form and generating a digital challan, the application is processed electronically. Once approved, you can download a verified Migration Certificate (NOC) using your specific Tracking ID directly from the official website.
